We are looking to recruit a part-time passionate and knowledgeable rowing coach into our rowing department to commence September 2026.

Generally the role involves coaching after school sessions throughout the week and on Saturday mornings, with pupils from age 12 -16 years, with varying ranges of experience and skill level. The successful Rowing Coach will be expected to attend regattas and training camps throughout the year, all of which would be confirmed well in advance of the dates.

The successful candidate will be working directly with our Head of Rowing and the current coaching team. The role is for 10 hours per week for 40 weeks per year. The salary will be £15.26 – £16.22 (dependent on skills and experience) per hour excluding holiday pay. As the School is only open for 35 weeks per year the remaining 5 weeks of work will be completed in the school holidays which will be organised in advance.

The typical working pattern during term time will be:

Wednesday 3:45 – 6:00 pm
Friday 3:45 – 6:00 pm
Saturday 08:45 – 11:45 am
Remaining hours to be used supporting regattas/training camps.

We are open to some flexibility for work patterns, please confirm in your application what your availability would be.

The specialist nature of the role requires in-depth technical knowledge of rowing, extensive experience of time in a boat training and attending competitions would be beneficial alongside previous experience of coaching children. A RYA Level 2 Power Boat certificate is desirable, alongside a current First Aid certificate.
